This Privacy Policy explains how The Career Architect collects, uses, and protects your information when you use thecareerarchitect.org.

1. Information we collect

• Account information you provide, such as name and email.
• Career information you submit, such as resumes, assessment answers, and job preferences.
• Payment information, processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
• Usage data, such as pages visited and features used, collected via analytics.

2. How we use your information

• To provide and personalize the Service, including AI career tools and job matching.
• To process payments and manage subscriptions.
• To send transactional emails (confirmations, receipts, job and application alerts).
• To improve our tools and understand how the Service is used.

3. AI processing

To generate career guidance, the content you submit may be processed by our AI provider (Anthropic's Claude). This is used to produce your results and is not used to publicly identify you.

4. Sharing

We share data only as needed to run the Service: with infrastructure providers (such as Supabase for our database, Vercel for hosting, Stripe for payments, Resend for email, and our AI provider). When you apply to a job, the application details are shared with the relevant recruiter. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Your choices and rights

You can access, update, or delete your account data, and unsubscribe from non-essential emails. Depending on your location (including the EU and California), you may have additional rights to access, correct, or erase your data. To exercise these, contact angel@thecareerarchitect.org.

6. Data retention and security

We retain your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or comply with law. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, though no system is perfectly secure.

7. Cookies and analytics

We use cookies and analytics to operate the site and understand usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the revised date will appear above. Material changes will be highlighted.
