Terms of Service

Welcome to The Career Architect ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using thecareerarchitect.org and our tools (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

The Career Architect provides career guidance tools, including AI-generated career snapshots, resume and ATS assistance, interview preparation, job matching, and a job board connecting job seekers with recruiters. Some features are free; others require a paid subscription or one-time purchase.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.

3. AI-generated content

Our AI tools generate suggestions, resumes, and career guidance for your consideration. This output is informational and not a guarantee of employment, interviews, salary, or any specific outcome. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying anything you submit to employers. Do not rely on AI output as legal, financial, or professional advice.

4. Job listings

Job listings may be posted by third-party recruiters or aggregated from external sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy, availability, or legitimacy of any listing, and we are not party to any employment relationship. Apply at your own discretion.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel anytime; cancellation stops future billing but does not retroactively refund the current period except as described in our Refund Policy. Prices may change with notice.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: scraping or reverse-engineering it, submitting false information, uploading unlawful content, attempting to access other users' data, or using the Service to harass or defraud anyone.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, and its content are owned by The Career Architect. You retain ownership of the resumes and personal content you upload, and you grant us a limited license to process that content to provide the Service.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
